Chapter 7

Jared loved the coppery taste of Ally on his tongue and he licked her one more time and felt her shudder under him before she released his neck. His cock slipped from her and he heard her whimper. He smirked as he pulled back to look down at her, her cheeks were pink and she had a blissful smile playing on her lips with a slightly glazed look in her eyes.

As he brushed her hair back he glanced down at her neck and saw the savage bite mark he’d left there. Without even waiting to see if the mark healed or remained on her like a badge, he knew she was his. He had never felt anything as intense as he did the moment he slid into her. Her body had eagerly met his when he thrust in but she was so tight he worried he had hurt her when she had cried out. The hardest thing he ever did was remain still, but when she finally started moving he had never felt anything so pleasurable.

Ally bit her lip and he saw a soft blush spread on her cheeks and down her chest. Jared couldn’t help but admire the woman under him. His dragon rumbled in pleasure and he dipped his head, nuzzling his cheek against hers. “Good morning my Princess.”

Jared knew she was aware of mating but wondered if she understood that she was fully his now. Physically she belonged to him but he wanted more, he wanted to know she could be happy with just him and a simple life. Yes, he had more money than she could possibly spend, but could she care for the man and not the money? He also knew that, for her, the mating mark didn’t have the same meaning as it did to him. To him, and other supernaturals, it marked her as taken but she was a human who became immortal. She could still walk away from him and fall for another man.

She had to care as much for him as he for her, and he was determined to find out if that was possible. Ally reached up, her hand cupping the side of his cheek, and he nuzzled it before kissing it. “Good morning.”

Her voice was soft and quiet and he could see that she was a bit unsure of herself. He wondered if she would be able to see his mark. His dragon could pick up on her nervousness and it huffed at him. Whatever skill he had with women was completely gone when he was with her. “Are you hungry? Why don’t you go take a shower and I’ll order us some food and we can talk.”

She nodded and he rolled off her so she could get up. He could see her looking around as if she were trying to figure out how to get out of bed without him seeing her naked. He didn’t want to embarrass her and noticed her robe was on the chair closest to him.
